Contegra Construction Co. is building a 35,000-square-foot rebar fabrication facility that will quadruple production for construction industry supplier Nu Way Cos. in Troy, Illinois.
The new facility, expected to be completed in spring 2023, is in response to an increasing demand for rebar, due to e-commerce warehouse construction and a surge in infrastructure spending.
Located at 2454 Formosa Road, the fabrication facility will feature three overhead cranes and allow Nu Way FAB to produce 15,000 tons of rebar annually.
The project team also includes J.F. Electric, Vee-Jay Cement Contracting, Illinois Electric Works and Affton Fabricating and Welding Co.
