Philippine Women’s National Football Team attacker Katrina Guillou played a key role to help Piteå IF complete a 2-1 upset over defending champions Rosengård in the 2022 Damallsvenskan, Saturday, at the LF Arena in Sweden.

The 2022 AFF Women’s Championship gold medalist broke the deadlock with a fine finish in the 11th minute to set Pitea on its way to victory.

Rosengard’s Rebecca Knaak scored a leveler in the 32nd minute but Pitea celebrated the winner in the second half thanks to Josefin Johansson’s 70th-minute winner.

The result means that Pitea now sits in 7th place in the standings with 26 points after 17 games.

On the other hand, Rosengard leads the Damallsvenskan with 39 points thanks to a superior goal difference of +33 over its nearest chaser Kristianstads DFF, which has 39 points and a goal difference of +23.

Guillou and the rest of Pitea return in an away clash against KIF Örebro DFF on Saturday with kickoff time scheduled at 12:00 AM Manila time.
