They’re thick, they’re strong and these huge cigars won’t cost you more than $7 (before taxes). Targeting the value market—and smokers who prefer thick sizes—Forged Cigar Co. will be releasing a beefed-up offshoot of the Chillin’ Moose line called Bull Moose, a full-bodied brand of mostly 60-ring-gauge cigars.

Chillin’ Moose was introduced in 2014, and currently has two versions in circulation—the core line and Chillin’ Moose Too. Bull Moose, which is set to launch in early May, boasts an all-Nicaraguan, “high-octane blend” and a portfolio of huge ring gauges in four sizes: Robusto Gordo, measuring 5 inches by 60 ring gauge; Gigante at 6 by 60; Gigante XL at 6 by 70; and Gigante XXL at 7 by 60. As gargantuan as the cigars are, none go over $7, as they have suggested retail prices ranging from $4.98 to $6.58 and are packaged in 20-count boxes. 

Chillin’ Moose was originally released under Foundry Tobacco Co., a subsidiary of General Cigar Co. that dealt with experimental, unconventional cigars. Foundry was eventually dissolved and last year, parent company Scandinavian Tobacco Group formed Forged Cigar Co. which now distributes Chillin’ Moose.

The Bull Moose brand is made in Nicaragua at the Tabacalera Carlos Sanchez S.A. factory, also known as TACASA.
